Dear friends -
This has been a season of self discovery, some things good and some things
that definitely needed to be dealt with. Funny, the older I get the more I seem to focus on that image staring back at me
in the mirror. The girl is getting older, some would say "seasoned", and only now in my 40s have I truly started to ask
those questions that I know I have no simple answer for. It's often scary to dig so deep inside, but I know it is necessary
and I know great things will come of it all, but it can still be heart-breaking and soul crushing and that is never easy.
I know it has been a while since the last album, the last tour and
I am missing your smiling faces staring back at me. I have produced more albums in the past few years than I ever thought
I would and it has been a great joy to stretch those creative muscles for others. Still, when all things go silent and there
is no more work for me to do, I sit and remember you all and it makes me smile. Lord
willing, I will be back to see many of you soon. It will be good to see how you have grown in Grace and Love. I have learned
a few things over the years and I can't wait to share with how Father has once again shown Himself to be ever present in my
life.
This year the Holy Spirit has directed me to start giving away my music
for free; my new album Haven, included. I am striving to be as honest, transparent and authentic as I possibly can with
those who are willing to listen and share with me in the same manner. I would like to open up a little more about
my personal life. It is my desire to create a safe place, where we can openly explore subjects that we often shy away
from in the church. Some of you may not like it, but then again, some of you might. I am hoping there will be more like than
not, but I am prepared for what is to come.
Please remember me in your prayers dear friends - continue to cover me with
faith filled prayers and I will do the same for you. We need to support one another, we need to love and care for one
another now more than ever before. I know how hard it is to trust, but we can and must reach out to build bridges
instead of remaining fragmented even if we disagree with one another. It is my prayer that we all will let love guide
our hearts and conversations, so that Father may be glorified in all we do.
